Childrens Curtains
Your kids are very visual at an early age and should be surrounded by positive imagery at every turn. Children’s curtains are often overlooked by a lot of parents as they think the plain old whatever readymade curtains came with the house or apartment is good enough for a kid. Actually some mental health professionals believe that if you tour an adult’s home that came from a physically and or mentally abusive upbringing, that they will normally not have any visual stimulation such as artwork, or decorative items in their home. This will be handed down to their children as an almost unbreakable cycle. In actuality their creative side of their brain has been shutdown, and will have become almost permanently dormant. Actually some cannot even dream in color due to their past. Surround your child with visual positive things like their favorite Sesame Street characters, Disney Picture movie animation characters and the like.
They do not have to be commercialized, as there are many designs that will stimulate your little boy or girl’s mind. Curtains for children can just be colorful abstract styles that still have a well blended decor theme, that will not make your home look like a throw back from some sixties hippy colony. Even bright pastels like pale pink curtains with light green trim for a baby girl’s bedroom will do nicely. The old adage may still hold true about red is for girls, and blue is for boys, but they do not have to be in dark muted shades that are almost depressing in nature. There are over thirty seven shades of pink curtains available today, as they’re just as many variations of blue eyelet curtains for boys.
Childrens window curtains should always be upbeat, and either provides some form or combination of learning and entertainment. When little one’s are learning their ABC’s and 123′s, why not encourage them with drapery covered in baby blocks or something similar, so they can lay there and read them as they fall asleep for their afternoon nap. Passively encouraging your offspring to be a positive, and functional child and eventually a developed adult is not expensive, it is just what selections you make, in all of their possession for those formidable years. From birth to five years of age are the most important, and every step should be taken to encourage their creative, and positive health to carry them through their lives.
Childrens curtains, are just a good place to start this process, as they are inexpensive, and can be changed out as they advance in age. Just think of it as a billboard, instead of just window treatments for your child’s benefit. Curtains for children can even have basic words like mommy, daddy, brother, sister, dog, cat, bird, tree, etc. This will allow them start recognizing letters and words as young as possible. This writer was told that he could spell his name at the age of two, not that I remember, but forming letters, and numbers at the earliest possible age will only help your kids in the best way possible.
